Interested in meditation but feel a little intimidated by it? Do you crave stillness and silence in your life but feel uncomfortable once you get there? Use this series as an opportunity to delve into benefits and challenges of yoga, implement which meditation practices benefit you and watch your daily life begin to change. Components of class: understanding the basics of meditation , addressing the benefits and challenges, using movement to assist in getting comfortable before settling into meditation and exploration of different types of meditation. We will address the following: Love and kindness meditation Meditation through movement Body scan meditation Stillness and silence meditation Guided imagery Progressive muscle relaxation Meditation is not only helpful for mental health and well-being but also physical health and well-being. The first two workshops will be the foundation blocks for you if you need a little introduction to meditation, If you are more advanced in a meditation practice you can join us in the later 2 workshops where it begins getting more in depth. Bring a journal to recall all thoughts and feelings that come up for you before, during and after meditation. Mind your mind and mind your mouth through meditation to improve your quality of life.
